Myofascial Release

There are a variety of techniques available that can be used to mobilize fascial restrictions.  At Park Performance Chiropractic, we primarily use Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).

IASTM is performed with ergonomically designed instruments that detest and treat fascial restrictions, encourage rapid localization and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis, chronic inflammation, or degeneration.

Contraindications

  • Compromised tissue integrity (open wound, infection, tumor)
  • Active implants (pacemaker, internal defibrillator, picc/pump lines)
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis
  • Cervical carotid sinus
